Today I’m whipping up a perfect summer salad and serving it with the just-right glass of wine on FOX19 and Q102. Click here to see the video.
Stubb’s Cherry and Pecan Sirloin Salad
Serves 4-6
Pair with Dancing Bull Merlot, the dark berry fruit of the wine compliments the soy and garlic flavors in the Beef Marinade.

Listen to the interview.
Interior designer Elaine Griffin says “A person’s home — what it looks like, where it is, how it’s lived in — reveals more about him than absolutely anything else in the world” Elaine’s a graduate of Yale University and studied at the New York School of Interior Design. She’s a recognized tastemaker and designed the Good Works Makeovers for Oprah’s O at Home, and is ranked as one of House Beautiful’s Top 100 American Designers. Her work frequently appears in design magazines and on television nationally. Design Rules: The Insider’s Guide to Becoming Your Own Decorator is her first book.
Elaine’s first rule? Your home should reflect your personality. If you don’t follow this one, don’t bother going any further!
I love Elaine’s tips on Color: Consistency is key. If you want lots of color, make your hallways neutral and have colorful rooms coming off them.

Don’t you just love the rich, buttery texture of an avocado?
Look for avocados that are unblemished and heavy for their size. A ripe avocado will yield slightly to palm pressure. If you need to speed up the ripening process, place several avocados in a paper bag and leave them at room temperature for a couple days. Once they’re ripe, you can store them in the fridge for a few days longer.
