I love October. It’s host to one of my favorite holidays- Halloween! Keep your eyes peeled because Halloween candy deals abound. October’s the month to find great deals on these items, too:

I was mentioning in class yesterday how much I loved Paul Dagenbach’s dual soups. As promised, here’s the video.

Seasonal fruit for Fall includes Apples, Cranberries, Figs, Grapes, Pears, Persimmons, Pomegranates and Quinces. Apples are easy- eat them out of hand or baked into cobblers and pies. Homemade applesauce is wonderful, too. I dice an apple into my oatmeal along with cinnamon, raisins and brown sugar.

I’m loving my new Packit! It’s one of those products that makes me say “why didn’t I think of that”!
